What is in the jar
Six things, one ritual
Everything the evening needs. Nothing it doesn't.
The soap and both guides are free in every kit, not just the first one.
The simple science
Your skin already knows this ingredient.
Closest to your own skin
Grass-fed tallow has a fatty-acid profile remarkably close to the sebum your skin makes on its own. That is why sensitive skin tends to accept it where lotions sting, and why it absorbs instead of sitting on top.
Vitamins the skin can actually use
Tallow naturally carries the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K, in the form they arrive in nature, not added from a lab. No fortification, no percentages, just what was already there.
Five ingredients, all of them pronounceable
Beef tallow, olive oil, jojoba, fir, lavender. That is the entire Peaceful Night. No water, no emulsifiers, no preservatives, because a jar without water does not need them.
Whole-fat skincare is how our grandmothers did it. We added a label you can read and a jar that opens.
Read the back of the jar
We counted so you don't have to.
A "clean" belly butter from the pharmacy aisle
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Citric Acid, Fragrance, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil
18 ingredients. Starts with water. "Fragrance" undisclosed.
Lark & Lull, Peaceful Night
Beef Tallow, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Abies Sibirica Oil*, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*. *Organic
5 ingredients. Starts with tallow. Every scent named.
Ingredients are listed by concentration. When the first word is water, you are buying water. When the first word is tallow, you are buying tallow.
Made for mama
We print it on every jar, so you never have to guess.
Essential oils are lovely for her and not for a newborn's skin. So the scented jars say so, in the first line, in bold. The unscented shea is the jar that travels between you: the bump today, skin-to-skin later, the diaper bag after that. If you are pregnant or nursing and unsure about any scented product, the answer is the shea, and a quick word with your doctor.
Five minutes
The ritual that stays when everything else changes.
The full guide, with a newborn edition for the nights you have ninety seconds instead of five minutes, comes free with your kit.
Do the math
The refill pays for itself before it ships.
A single 2 oz tallow balm from the category leader is $36. The full ritual, with the soap and the guides, is $94 delivered.

Why we made this
We read every label in the nursery. Then we made one we could read.
We are [Name] and [Name], and our daughter arrives in [month]. Somewhere around the second trimester we started reading the back of everything: the crib mattress, the detergent, the lotion we had used for years. The lotion was the surprise. Eighteen ingredients, starting with water, with a single word hiding the rest.
We wanted one jar for her belly, one for her evening, and a label a tired person could read at 11 pm. That is the whole company. Grass-fed tallow, organic oils, a shea with one ingredient, and the sentence "made for mama, not for baby's skin" printed where nobody can miss it.
If it gives you back five minutes a night, it did its job.

Questions
Everything a tired person asks at 11 pm.
Is this safe during pregnancy?+
The kit is cosmetic, not medical, so the honest answer is: ask your OB about anything you are unsure of, and here is what you are asking about. The shea has one ingredient, organic shea butter, and no fragrance. The creams and the soap use named essential oils in low concentration, with lavender as the base. Bergamot is phototoxic, so the Orange & Bergamot cream is for evenings or covered skin. The Ingredient Decoder in your kit walks through all of this.
Can I use it on my baby?+
Only the unscented shea. The scented jars say "not for baby's skin" on the label, and we mean it. Essential oils are for grown-ups.
Does tallow smell like beef?+
No. Rendered grass-fed tallow is nearly odorless; what you smell is the lavender, fir or citrus. The shea has a faint natural nuttiness and no added scent.
Will it feel greasy?+
A pea-sized amount absorbs in a few minutes, because tallow is close to the oils your skin already makes. Use less than you think. The shea is firm in the jar and melts on contact.
My jar arrived soft. Is something wrong?+
Nothing. Tallow softens above 85°F, and delivery trucks get warm. Twenty minutes in the fridge restores the texture. It is a sign there are no stabilizers in the jar.
How long does a kit last?+
About eight weeks with nightly use, which is why refills are timed at eight weeks. If you use less, skip a box from your account in two clicks.
What exactly is in the refill?+
The same six things every time: Peaceful Night, the shea, your scent, the lavender soap and both guides. You can swap scent from your account.
How do I cancel?+
From your account, two clicks, no email, no phone call. We send a reminder five days before every refill so nothing surprises you.
Where is it made?+
Handcrafted in small batches in the USA from grass-fed tallow and organic oils.
What is the guarantee?+
45 days on your first kit, empty jars accepted, no return required. Refills carry a 30-day guarantee.
